Protecting Your Privacy


Prodial only collects personal information from customers that is necessary for it to perform its functions. This Privacy Policy has been designed to ensure that the privacy of the information we obtain in the normal course of providing our services is kept private and treated with respect.

Prodial understands the importance to its customers of the discreet and confidential handling of their personal information. It is Prodial’s policy to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988 involving the collection, use, disclosure and handling of both business and personal information.

  • Collection
    Prodial will only collect Personal Information where the information is necessary for Prodial to perform its functions and activities in delivering the Prodial service.

    Collection of other personal information may include and may also be sourced from Installation Partners of Prodial’s services; aswell as credit providers or credit reporting agencies contacted by us (or by Prodial Installation Partners on our behalf) in the course of carrying out a credit check.   • Use of your personal information
    Use of your personal or business information

    Prodial recognises that any Customer Identifiable Information is very important to you, and that you should have a right to control the use and dissemination of that information. Prodial may collect and use Customer Identifiable Information for any of the following purposes:

    For Provisioning or connecting your service;
    To implement network routing if required;
    To monitor our website to maintain ease of access;
    For investigating and fixing faults in relation to your service;
    Administering contractual agreements or arrangements necessary to provide services to you. Back to Top
  • Data Security
    We take physical and electronic measures to secure your information. We store your personal information in password-protected servers that are in a restricted and monitored area. In particular all databases maintained by Prodial are protected by secure network links, which are complimented by firewalls, hardware and software encryption, password protection and internal quality procedures.

    Prodial will take all reasonable steps to ensure that paper and electronic records containing Customer Information are stored in facilities that are only accessible by people within Prodial who have a genuine “need to know” as well as “right to know”.

    Customers also have a role in keeping secure all personal access information to areas such as their secure online account area, where payment details are viewed, call tracking information can be accessed and so on, it is customers responsibility to protect their own personal access password.

  • Access to Customer Information
    Prodial will make known to Business Account representatives, the types of Customer Information it holds, the purpose for which it collected, held and used by Prodial.

    Personal and company information maybe given only incases where we can verify your identity. Prodials Customer service representative may be able to provide you with the information you require over the telephone. If you wish to have a copy of any information, we may also request that this be provided to us in writing either posted or faxed to us, this is also to verify your identity. Prodial will not charge a fee for information retrieval request unless the request is complex or is resource intensive. Back to Top
  • Changes to Customer Information
    If you believe that we hold general or private information about your business that you consider to be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date you should tell us by calling 08 62 600 900. Customers Account Toolbox can also be accessed to correct any inaccuracies or out-of-date information. Back to Top
  • Identifiers
    Prodial may request specific information to identify authorised persons of registered Prodial account. These identifiers will include Account Number, Address, Account User ID. Back to Top
  • Website Viewing Logs
    Access to public areas on the Prodial website are “logged”. The sort of information contained in these logs cannot easily identify you personally, but instead contains such things as a list of the pages accessed, and the sort of browser used.

    The information is used to check for attempts at “hacking”, or other fraudulent activity. It is periodically summarised to provide web performance information such as the number of people viewing particular parts of the site.
